How to use the confirmation feature
of Shredit X
ShredIt X can be configured to require confirmation before shredding takes place. This is particularly useful when you first use a shredder, since once an item has been shredded, it cannot be recovered - even by us.

In the preferences, enable the confirmation feature.
- From the “ShredIt X” menu, select “Preferences” and click on the "Settings" tab.
- Tick the "Confirm File", "Confirm Folder" and/or "Confirm Freespace" shredding tick box, as required.

ShredIt X will now require confirmation before shredding will take place. To shred the item click the "Yes" button on the confirmation dialog.
