How to rip a CD to more than one format
at the same time on Mac OS X using Music Man - CD Ripper Tab
You can use Music Man to rip a CD to more than one format at the same time. You can rip the entire CD or just the selected tracks.

Requirements:
- Music Man
- Audio CD
- To rip to MP3, you need to install the LAME component. See the System Requirements

How to rip a CD to more than one format at the same time

Insert an Audio CD into the CD drive. If it is playing, click the Stop button on the Play tab to stop it. (You can't rip a CD while it is playing.)

Click the Rip tab.

If required, use the Multi Rip > Advanced Settings to configure which formats to rip to and which folder to put the ripped tracks in.
Format Tick Box: Tick which formats you want to rip to.
Folder Set Button: Use the “Set” Button to chose the folder to rip the tracks to. Then press the “Save” button.

If required, edit the clip information (only if you're making a clip). For further information, refer to the Music Man Read Me (pdf) |

To rip just some Tracks, select that track (shift or apple click to select multiple tracks), click the Multi-Rip drop down menu and select the menu item titled Selected To Multiple formats.
To rip the entire CD, click the Multi-Rip drop down menu and select the menu item titled All To Multiple formats. |

Notes

- AAC, short for Advanced Audio Coding, is the audio encoding format used by the MPEG-4 Standard. While AAC must be licensed on a per application basis on the Windows operating system, there are no license requirements for using AAC in applications on Mac OS X. There are file extensions used - M4A, M4P and M4B. Unprotected AAC uses the extensions .m4a and .m4b, protected AAC uses the extensions .m4p and .m4b.
- Unprotected AAC (M4A, unprotected M4B) can be played on your computer using music player software such as Music Man. Unprotected AAC (M4A, unprotected M4B) can be converted to other formats.
- DRM Protected AAC (M4P, protected M4B) can be played on your computer using music player software such as Music Man. DRM Protected AAC (M4P, protected M4B) CANNOT be converted to other formats. For more information about DRM, go to "All about DRM Protected music on Mac"
- AAC (M4A, M4B, M4P) can be played on your Mac using music player software such as Music Man. AAC (M4A) can also be played on an iPod
