How to convert an audio file
from AAC(M4A, M4B), MP3, Ogg, WMA, Midi,
to WAV on Mac OS X
using Music Man Converter Tab

Use this procedure to convert AAC/M4A, AAC/M4B, MP3, Ogg (Ogg Vorbis), WMA or Midi to WAV format at either 44.1 khz or 48 khz.



Requirements

  • Music Man
  • Music File in AAC(M4A, M4B), MP3, Ogg (Ogg Vorbis), WMA or Midi format


Instructions

Click the Music Man Convert Tab.

If required, use the Advanced Settings on the Convert Menu to configure the sample rate. For further information about Advanced Settings, refer to the Music Man Read Me (pdf)

When copying WAV to DVD, WAV files are sampled at 48 khz. To convert at this rate, click the Convert drop down menu and select the menu item titled "Advanced settings".

If required, use the Advanced Settings on the Convert Menu to configure the quality. Audio tracks used for Audio CD are sampled at 44.1 khz, the default sample rate. To convert at this rate, skip the rest of this step

3.

Select the files you want to convert. For further information, refer to the Music Man Read Me (pdf)

Click the Convert drop down menu and select the menu item titled "To WAV"

4. Select the folder where the converted files are to be stored and click the Save button. Conversion will now start.

Note:
This may take a long time, depending on the how many files you are converting.

  • WAV, short for Waveform audio format, is a Microsoft and IBM open format that is typically used to store uncompressed digital audio. WAV is the most common format used for editing digital audio. Because it is an uncompressed format (and therefore the files are relatively large), WAV is not commonly used by MP3 players, although it is supported by some.

  • WAV can be played on your Mac using music player software such as Music Man. WAV can also be played on some MP3 Players, including iPod
