Besides playing VCD, MacVCD plays almost everything else including XVCD, MPEG-1, , MPEG4, AVI*, DivX*, XviD*, Quicktime Movie (.mov) and DV.

System Requirements:

To run MacVCD you need:

• Macintosh™ PowerPC
• Mac OS 8.5 or later or OS 9
• QuickTime® 4 or later

To play AVI you need:

• the DivX component (free)

To play DivX you need:

• the DivX component (free)
• you may need AC3codec

To play XviD you need:

• the DivX component (free)

Under Mac OS 9, AVI, DivX & XviD playback often have problems with the sound. This is a known problem with the OS.

To play a movie in full screen, you need:

• Macintosh™ PowerPC 300 mhz or faster

To play a movie in fast motion, you need:

• Macintosh™ PowerPC 500 mhz or faster

To display a movie on a second screen (TV Playback), you need:

• Macintosh™ PowerPC G3 with a video out port (to determine if your computer supports this, see your Owner's Manual)

To use the "hands free" feature, you need:

• Macintosh™ PowerPC G3/300 mhz or faster
